Omg my exams are in... 5 days and I'm watching pokemon ><.  I just realised that I haven't actually been on here for over a year, though I still check my devwatch and messages.  I also haven't drawn anything this whole year, having been tied up with studying and other nonsense .

In any case I've found a brilliant resource from which to dl Pokemon episodes, particularly anything after Master Quest which was the last season sold in Singapore I think.  It was thus also one of the first few times I caught the new characters like Drew, Harley and Soledad, and I must say I adore Drew and Soledad's battling styles.  Makes me believe contests are cooler than plain battling.

*SPOILER WARNING*

Went into contestshipping mode after giggling my way through "Spontaneous Combusken", the seriously shippy episode where Drew's fan Briana and May battle it out in the Chrysanthemum Island contest.  Funny how he blushes madly when May calls him "Mr Rose" and blushes even more upon Roselia's response.  Makes you wonder what it is that Roselia said...  And then of course Max had a nice line as he, Ash and Brock watched the whole exchange from above:

"Drew is such a weeny."

My other favorites were back-to-back episodes of "New Plot, Odd Lot" and "Going for Choke!" which has some nice quotable quotes:

1. May: Drew's gonna torture me forever if I lose!
    Max: You're not doing all this for Drew... right?

2. Harley: Drew darling, so you're a twerp too?

3. Ash: I don't know what we would have done without you back there Drew.
    Drew: I only did it so May would have someone cheering her on *flicks hair*

4. Ash (to May): We got into a really rough spot but thanks to Drew everything turned out just- *May runs off to see Drew*
   Everyone: Huh?
   Max: I don't think she heard you Ash...

5. (Youtube comment): Drew's such a stalker...

It's funny how he always walks away before she can really have a proper conversation.  Since we know it's not because she annoys him, it seems more like he wants to leave before he does something to embarrass himself.

I know a lot of contestshippers like the "Who, What, When, Where Wynaut!" episode when May and Drew were trapped on Mirage Island and she had to pull him out of the river unconscious but it seemed like a typical Let's-save-the-day episode, just with different characters to me.
